Slowly our rights are being eroded by simple little things that occur daily in our lives. When a policeman stops you for a traffic violation, he innocently asks, "Where are you going", or "where have you been". Think about this. In Nazi Germany people were stopped at random and asked these questions. I contend that it is no business of the policeman where you have been, or where you are going. His job is to deal with the violation at hand and send you on your way. Other seemingly innocent questions are asked of Suspects when stopped for various offenses.
Have you been drinking?, How much have you had to drink?, Answering these self incriminating questions is not a requirement. Simply be respectful and do not answer the questions. Answer the question with a question if you like. Would I be in violation of any law if I didn't answer your questions other than pertinant information to the reason you stopped me?
You are not required by law to perform sobriety test as ordered by policemen. In my opinion, this is not a lawful order and compliance is not required. By all means comply with any reasonable request, but...
